Abrasive solids, fast-settling slurries and remote maintenance all shape the specification: larger plates to cut cycles, wear protection at the feed eye, and a cloth that releases coarse cake cleanly. Membrane presses are used where water recovery or dry stacking requires lower cake moisture.
