When should a membrane plate replace a chamber plate?

When the cake must be drier, the cycle shorter, or the slurry is difficult to dewater by filtration alone. Membrane plates need a pressure unit and a squeeze water or air supply, so the upgrade is a system decision rather than a plate swap.

What pressure can PP plates take?

Standard PP chamber plates are typically used up to 0.6–1.6 MPa feed pressure depending on size and design. High-pressure and membrane variants are selected per duty. Final ratings are confirmed on the approved drawing.

Measure the plate outside dimensions, thickness, handle position and port layout, and note the press make and model if known. A photo of the plate face and the plate edge with a ruler is usually enough for us to confirm a match.
